Biography:
Howard Elman is a professor of computer science with an appointment in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
Elman's research focuses on the numerical solution of partial differential equations, computational fluid dynamics, sparse matrix methods, and uncertainty quantification.
